Chaunsa is a variety of mango. Origin Chausa, Bihar India. It is also called a “sumer bassist”. Chaunsa mango has a golden yellow color when it is soft, almost fibrous, and has an aromatic pleasant sweet taste. The varieties commonly available in India are greenish-yellow in color. Its unique taste and its richness make it a worldwide favorite. Chaunsa is commonly referred to as the “King of Mangoes”. Overall it is considered the best mango in terms of its rich aroma, sweet taste, juicy pulp and high nutritional value.
